The machinery in Blohm + Voss Repair’s pipe, plate and electrical shops has been designed for maximum efficiency. One example of our state-of-the-art technology is the precision lathe accommodating shafts up to 20 meters in length, three in diameter and up to 140 tons in weight.
In dock, DOCKMASTERS*, high-pressure robotic waterjets, strip off marine fouling and paint. They blast water at up to 3.000 bar, stripping off coated surfaces down to the bare steel in one sweep – an environmentally friendly solution – an optimal result at a highly competitive rate.
